The Mintaz story
Like many crypto journeys, MINTAZ was born out of frustration, curiosity, and a drive to make blockchain and AI accessible to all.

Platinum-selling New Zealand recording artist Jason Kerrison first entered the crypto world in 2010, purchasing $500 worth of Bitcoin—only to be scammed by Australian company iGot.com. That wouldn’t be his last encounter with the darker side of crypto. In 2017, New Zealand exchange Cryptopia was hacked, leaving thousands of token holders stranded. Determined to understand what went wrong, Jason immersed himself in blockchain technology, becoming a Blockchain Developer and Certified Front-End & Back-End Developer.
Through years of trial, error, and learning, Jason saw the untapped potential of Web3—especially for musicians, content creators, and brands. As a co-founder of Control Freak Music, he recognized how smart contracts, AI automation, and NFTs could revolutionize fan engagement and income streams for artists.
